We are finally getting our septic tank pumped. (Toilet on main level doesn't flush water down all the way and bubbled a couple days ago) When my wife called to setup the pumping they said the first foot is free and then there would be an extra charge per foot when digging down to get to the lid. I know in general where the tank is and that it's probably down septic tank atlanta 3 to 4 ft.
So should I get septic tank installation guide out there today and dig that hole for them to save money? My wife didn't get the exact amount that they would charge per ft. I live a little south of atlanta ga so the ground wont be frozen and it will just be a little chilly out.
So what would you do? Any one know what the going rate is for digging per ft for a spetic tank?
